What Is a Breaker Control Switch?

Used to operate circuit breakers in a power circuit and in applications where frequent operations are required.

1. Three positions of switching: TRIP, NEUTRAL & CLOSE
2. Sequence lock – The knob is first rotated to the TRIP position and only after this can be turned to CLOSE position
3. Lost motion device (LMD) – it indicates the last operated position of the breaker

The Gorwin Bypass Changeover Switch allows maintenance or replacement of the main changeover switch without interrupting power to the load. It provides a safe and convenient way to transfer supply between Main, Bypass, and Load—ensuring continuous operation in critical applications.

The Bypass CHO uses a three-position changeover plus an integrated bypass path with mechanical interlocking, allowing the load to remain energized while the main switch is serviced.

How It Works

A dedicated bypass path allows the load to be powered while the main switch is isolated.
Integrated mechanical interlocking ensures only one path is active at a time, preventing wrong operations and enhancing safety

Designed to deliver ATS solutions for industrial and commercial use, its principal purpose is to ensure the continuous delivery of electrical power from one of two power sources to a connected load circuit.

They are composed of 4 different ratings, ranging from 40A up to 630A, in 4P versions.
